i went out to bring in the girls
i was a bit late BUT it was still LIGHT OUT
and they were extremely anxious to get in
when i got to the pen
i saw a RACCOON on top of the wire part
luckily he hadn't figured how to get in yet
i got the girls out and they RACED to the top of the path
(then greed got the better of them and they started to hunt wormies)
meanwhile i am sick at the thought of what could have happened to my beloved and darling precious little duckies

Thank goodness you got them put inside before anything happened. But I doubt the raccoon would hurt your ducks. I know it would steal eggs though.

Whew! I think Sandie's probably right about eggs being the target but still, it's scary -- and the duckies were scared, from what you say. It's 7 pm -- are they inside now?
