it has a cutting blade in it and it is the BEST for cutting in the fold of paper
i absolutely love it
i cut watercolor paper with it, and gift wrap paper and i would like a few more of them
so does anyone know what it's called....? or where to pick a couple of them up
i got this as a freebie when i bought fixed oils for soapmaking
It's a letter opener. They also work great to split up fur mats on dogs and long haired cats, though you have to be careful to not pull the skin into the blade area. Poke the point into the mat, above the skin and it will break it up. They are the greatest and are often given away by realtors and other folks that sell stuff and want you to keep their name and number around. Good luck!

Joey is right, it is a letter opener and I have a few of them laying around. I pick them up in the stationary department at Walmart or K-Mart, wherever. They cost near to nothing. And yes, they do work good with matted hair on cats and dogs, but you have to be careful.
ReplyDeleteyep letter opener - and you can use them to cut out coupons if you hold the page just right - I think the best way to get them is as give aways.... but like Sandi said probably Walmart or K-Mart
