life is very good when your chickens are healthy
Fawn got to meet that little chicken face to face and nose to nose today.....maybe when Bernie gets home we can take them both together and have a picture session......
Fawn wanted to wash the bird's mouth....... and that little chicken wanted to see if Fawn had delicious bugs or something in her curls......
all and all....
they enjoyed themselves
the little chicken had happy little 'whip whip' cheeps, Fawn happily talked to the little chicken and then rolled her her BACK.....hahahahaha
and then the little chicken got her picture taken and back to the flock.....
nice huh?

I finally looked closely at the pictures of the chick in your hand -- wow, they're big already! I know you said they'll be big chickens, but I really didn't visualize that until now. Thaddeaus had better mind his p's and q's with these chickies . . .
ReplyDeleteDear Vi:
ReplyDeleteThe chickens are growing really well and it is that all the creatures get along. But, do you think it is appropriate for the chickens to be smoking cigars at such an early age? (Vi: I looked at that group picture just about forever, and I dare say that that chicken (I bet it's a rooster!) is smoking a cigar! What an illusion! LOL!
I'm glad she thinks it's a cigar - I was convinced it was a doobie! Say no to pot (and pots)!!!
ReplyDelete(deep inhale ) duuuuuuuuuuuuuude. tell the chicken that was one hit too many, man. and i was right, you need to change the name of your blog to all chickens all the time. (where's my butcher knife?)
ReplyDeleteI was wondering how your birdies were! Glad to see they are growing so fast.
ReplyDeletei fear our dahlink vi has been buried in a pile of chicken crap, and is unable to reach the keyboard! somebody send in back up! (and some biscuits)
ReplyDeleteVi, your chickies are charming! Aren't they great, I just love mine. When one of our 2 hens passed---the one that cuddled :( we went and picked up a group at the river that included youngish silkies, both turned out to be roos, they compete with crowing, now another which seems like modern game, but getting BIGGGG is also a roo, but doesn't crow yet, we called him "stockings" because of his huge yellow legs and feet, but now I'm wondering if "Turkey" might not have been more appropriate! hahaha The lone hen of the pick-up-group is laying now, still very young, she is a Mille Fleur or Thousand Flowers...very adorable, the roos all want to be her guy! She doesn't care for all the pulling on her comb though... Anyway, I was glad to see your chickies and we love ours too, makes me think about, just think about mind you, letting her hatch a half-silkie-half-mille-fleur egg or two! How are the Halloween decorations doing?? Bet you are all dolled-up there! Would love to see the pix!
ReplyDeleteI wasn't really anonymous, just did it wrong *blush*!
